Political Chief delivered December 28 reftel demarche to
Ambassador Khalid Al-Maqamis, Director of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs coordination and Follow Up Department, and
Ambassador Abdullah Al-Murad, Director of the MFA Department
of International Organizations. Both Ambassadors were aware
of the U.S. desire for GOK ratification of the two
conventions, but offered no substantive comment on Kuwait's
position.
