PREPARATORY MEETINGS

On 9/16 DCM spoke with the Foreign Minister's Office
Director, Shaikh Ahmad Al-Sabah, regarding reftel schedule
and agenda for the September 23 and 24 G8/BMENA meetings in
New York. Shaikh Ahmad said the MFA had received the same
information overnight from their mission in New York and he
confirmed that Foreign Minister Dr. Muhammad Al-Sabah would
attend the session on 9/24. Kuwait will also be represented
at the meeting hosted by U/S Larson on 9/23.
