Mbuyu noted that the DRC was committed to dealing with the issue of counterfeit goods. In addition to a seminar by the World Intellectual Property Organization his ministry is also working to bring DRC laws into compliance with international agreements. The commission on counterfeit goods also includes the Minister of Economy. Mbuyu also said that the Minister of Culture has the lead on copyright issues but they all work together to protect their markets from counterfeit goods.
