PolOff delivered ref A and B talking points November 8 to
Samer Naber, Legal Advisor for the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. Naber could not state how the GOJ would vote, but
intimated that Jordan would most likely follow its previous
record of supporting the resolutions on Turkmenistan and
Zimbabwe and abstaining on Sudan and Iran. Naber was not
familiar with the Belarus resolution and said the GOJ would
consider our position carefully. He expressed disbelief at
the retaliatory resolution tabled by Belarus against the U.S.
Naber assured us that our points would be shared with the
appropriate Jordanian officials, including in New York.
