Saeed expressed pleasure with the U.S. positions on terminal fees, but requested that a formal letter be sent from the Embassy to the ministry outlining the USG positions on issues likely to be dealt with by the UPU Postal Operations Council, so that the letter could be compared to other letters that the ministry has received from other countries petitioning GOJ support in their respective bids for positions in the UPU. She indicated, however, that even with the delivery of such a letter, Jordan is unlikely to inform the United States of the way in which it will vote until the day of the election. HALE
