(C) On November 22, Post followed up reftel demarche by
sending a diplomatic note to MFA requesting the UAEG,s
assistance in locating the UAE witness requested by a
detainee for his Combatant Status Review Tribunal at
Guantanamo. The Ambassador first raised this issue with MFA
Under Secretary Abdullah Rashid on November 20, the day the
UAEG reopened after the Eid Al Fitr holiday. Polchief will
follow up with MFA.
