COMMENTS: Amendments to BTIO: 542/01/T0005 - The initial Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the coal power plant of 900 MW (300 MW each in year 2008, 2010 and 2012) has been amended to 300 MW On a Build, Own, Operate (BOO) basis. OTHER AMENDMENTS: (1) No option for alternative fuel. Coal shall be the only fuel option. (2) The optimum location will be identified and specified by the Energy Supply Committee. (3) No bid security would be required at the stage of pre-qualification, however an undertaking to this effect would be a requirement. (4) Interested parties should submit pre qualification application by July 31, 2003. (5) Documents containing the agreements and the security package will be issued to all pre-qualified parties. (6) A letter of Intent (LOI) will be issued only to selected developer. (7) Developer shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and delivery of its proposal and the Energy Supply Committee shall in no case be responsible or liable for those costs. (8) All rights in respect of this project shall be retained by the Energy Supply Committee, whose decision shall be final. Interested parties and those who have already submitted expressions of interest are requested to submit an application for pre-qualification by obtaining a copy of the pre-qualification document once announced.
