In a September 5 meeting with Foreign Trade
Undersecretary Tuncer Kayalar, EconCouns and Econoff
delivered reftel points seeking GOT support to prevent
the geographical indications issue from disrupting the
WTO agriculture negotiations at Cancun. Kayalar nodded
sympathetically to our points, but offered no concrete
response.
