In response to REF A, the GOT will not be joining the
International Whaling Commission, per Asli Oral, Head of
Environmental Department at MFA (3/13). Turkey has no
whaling activities and no whaling policy. If a whaling vote
is presented under another convention, GOT will formulate a
position at that time.
