(S) Econ officer delivered talking points and information on vaccine from Ref A on 3/6 to MFA Feza Ozturk, head of MFA's Department of International Political Organizations. MFA is withholding response pending receipt of additional information. ¶3. (S) Ozturk said MFA would forward the information from Ref A to Turkish General Staff after receiving the exact costs for the military vaccines. MFA would forward the information to Ministry of Health after receiving pricing and the financing mechanism to be used for vaccines that we might offer for civilian use at a later date. Ozturk reiterated the need for training. ¶3. (S) ACTION REQUEST: Embassy appreciates Washington response and requests ASAP additional information on costs as noted above, and on training. PEARSON
