Econoff delivered reftel update on the WTO non-market access
process to Oya Karakas, MFA Head of Department for
Multilateral Economic Affairs and Semine Uygun, Head of
Department for WTO Issues at the Foreign Trade
Undersecretariat on February 6. Both Karakas and Uygun
responded that the GOT was still considering the U.S.
proposal to eliminate all non-agricultural tariffs, and had
not decided whether to support it.
