Ayed discussed the matter with FM Muasher and reported that as a recipient of international aid, Jordan is unable to offer any budgetary assistance to the Palestinian Authority to enable it to continue functioning through the end of the year. Ayed also stated that Jordan does not intend to meet its Arab League financial obligations towards the Palestinians, a position that post has heard from the GOJ before.
