1. (S) On June 16, Poloff conveyed reftel points to Ali
al-Ayed, Personal Assistant to Foreign Minister Marwan
Muasher, requesting that the GOJ keep this material close
hold until after the June 19 public announcement designating
and freezing the assets of four HAMAS-linked NGOs and the six
top HAMAS leaders under E.O. 13224. Al-Ayed offered no
substantive comment, but promised to pass the information on
to FM Muasher promptly.
