¶1. (C) PolCouns February 16 made ref points on the USG's
offer to provide Jordan with a limited supply of smallpox and
anthrax vaccines to Ali al-Ayed, Personal Assistant to
Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher. Al-Ayed thanked that USG
for the offer, and said he would coordinate the GOJ's
response with the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF),the Ministry
of Health, and Civil Defense personnel.
¶2. (C) DATT provided the same information separately to the
JAF on February 16. We will report when we have a
coordinated GOJ response.
