(C) Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of
State for Foreign Affairs and (newly appointed) Deputy
Prime Minister, is scheduled to arrive in Washington,
D.C., on October 25. Key people accompanying Sheikh
Hamdan to Washington are: Nasser Al Suweidi, Governor,
UAE Central Bank; Abdullah Rashid Al Nuaimi,
Undersecretary for Political Affairs, MFA; Sultan Al
Romeithi, Director, Office of Minister of State for
Foreign Affairs; Ahmed Al Muqarrab, Director, Department
of European, American, and Oceanian Affairs, MFA; Sheikha
Nejla Al Qassimi, Desk Officer, Department of European,
American, and Oceanian Affairs, MFA; and Yousef Al
Otaiba, special adviser to UAE Armed Forces COS LTG
Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The delegation, with the
exception of Yousef Al Otaiba, is scheduled to depart Abu
Dhabi for Europe on October 21. The delegation is
scheduled to travel from London to Washington on October
¶25. Al Otaiba is scheduled to depart Abu Dhabi on
October 22, fly straight to Washington, and will stay
with the delegation for the duration of the visit.
