2. (S) On 22 June, Polchief delivered reftel demarche to Khedaim
Al-Deeri, Deputy Office Director for MFA Minstate Shaykh Hamdan
Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and requested that the information be shared
with the concerned ministries and departments. Polchief
indicated that we would as usual also share the information with
the UAE State Security Directorate, their FBI-CIA amalgam. Al-
Deeri undertook to coordinate with SSD to ensure that the proper
authorities guarded against the acquisition by these entities of
items for the Iranian missile program.
