1. (S) November 21. DCM passed reftel points to Mr. Berki
Dibek, MFA Special Advisor to Undersecretary Ziyal. RSO
coordinated with American diplomatic missions within Turkey
(Adana, Istanbul, and Izmir) to ensure all posts remained
vigilant at a high state of readiness. RSO requested
additional police support for November 22 date specified as
favorable for those Islamists who martyr themselves. All
U.S. diplomatic missions continue to operate under a
heightened state of alert.
