BERRY FOR REASONS 1.5 (B) AND (D) ¶1. (C) The office of Prince Hassan Bin Talal has notified us that Prince Hassan will be traveling to the U.S. October 3-8. The Prince will arrive in New York from Jordan on a private or GOJ aircraft on October 3 to participate in a meeting of the International Crisis Group. The Prince and his party will reside at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. On the morning of October 7, the Prince will travel to Washington D.C. to attend a meeting of the Nuclear Threat Initiative. He and his party will reside at the Four Seasons Hotel. They will be departing Washington D.C. on October 8 for Canada. ¶2. (C) Prince Hassan has requested assistance in customs and immigration formalities on arrival and departure, as well as a security detail for his time in New York and Washington D.C.
