(SBU) On January 28, Pol M/C delivered refetel demarche with
Dutch DCM Marjo Crompvoets to Shin Dong-ik, MOFAT's
Director-General of the International Organizations Bureau,
formally inviting invite the ROKG to the Third Sherpa Meeting
in February. DG Shin assured us that the ROKG was committed
to playing a constructive role in both the Third Sherpa
Meeting and the President's Nuclear Security Summit. He said
that Vice Minister Chun Young-hoo had a good discussion with
NSC Advisor Gary Samore in Washington, DC on January 25 and
re-affirmed that President Lee will attend the April Summit.
