PARTICIPATE IN THE AGREEMENT ON EXPORT CREDITS FOR CIVIL
AIRCRAFT
On January 21, Post in coordination with the Embassies of the
Participants to the Sector Understanding on Export Credits
for Civil Aircraft (ASU) of OECD in Russia delivered a letter
signed by the Chair of the ASU, inviting Russia to
participate in the review of the text of the agreement on
export credits for civil aircraft. The letter, delivered to
Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economic
Development, Ministry of Finance, Vnesheconombank and United
Aircraft Company officials, was also requesting a preparatory
meeting with GOR, organized ahead of the first ASU review
meeting, which will take place on 1 and 2 February 2010 in
Paris. Post welcomed Russia's participation in this
international agreement. Post will continue to maintain
contact with the GOR and the other ASU members on this issue.
