PROPOSALS
REF: 10 STATE 6668; IAN DEADY EMAIL 02/17/2010
1. (U) Eric Muller, MFA desk officer for the Americas delivered GOL
response concerning reftel points to Pol/Econ Chief Feb. 22.
Muller explained that he had coordinated the GOL response with
Luxembourg's Ministry for Sustainable Development and
Infrastructure, which covers the environment.
2. (SBU) Muller said that he expected the GOL would support the
"U.S. Coral proposals" as they mirrored the EU position. Similarly
he said the U.S. proposals concerning "Sharks" mirrored a proposal
by Sweden, which they also support. Muller added that Luxembourg
generally favors proposals like those mentioned in the U.S.
demarche.
