1. Post officials have contacted the Government of Barbados
regarding Barbados' sugar TRQ; however, the GoB has been
unresponsive, and is expected to remain so. Last year the GoB used
approximately 150 metric tons of its sugar quota - the bulk of its
sugar exports went to the United Kingdom.
2. Please see the attached diplomatic note from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs in St. Kitts and Nevis, which indicates the
Government of St. Kitts and Nevis no longer produces sugar.
