1. (SBU) PolChief shared reftel points with Samer Naber,
Director of the MFA's North America Unit, and Bisher
al-Khasawneh, Personal Advisor to the Foreign Minister and
Director of Policy Planning at the MFA. Khasawneh will
travel to London with Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh to attend
the January 27 meeting.
2. (C) Khasawneh responded positively to the reftel's request
for public and private offers of support for President Saleh
and said that the Jordanian delegation was looking forward to
exploring more detailed proposals with international
participants during the conference. Post will continue to
follow this issue and report any developments via septel.
