1. Ref email requested that post conduct five separate
post-shipment verifications for Static Inverters (Static
Converters) exported as No License Required by AC Technology
Corporation, Uxbridge, MA.
2. On January 20, 2010, Export Control Officer met with Mr. Reza
Sarraf, Managing Director, Lenze Power Transmission (LPT). Sarraf
advised the LPT specializes in electrical equipment which supports
HVAC Fan and Pump applications and these shipments of static
inverters are exclusively for such end uses. He was well aware of
the restrictions on U.S. origin items going to Iran and stated that
LPT Sharjah does no business in Iran. He explained their business
is exclusively in the GCC market; mainly in Saudi Arabia and the
UAE. Sarraf readily provided all relevant invoices for these
transactions which were consistent with his claims.
3. Post considers Lenze Power Transmission to be a reliable
recipient of US origin items for these transactions only.
