SUBJECT: DEMARCHE DELIVERED ON KOSOVO PARTICIPATION IN
REGIONAL COOPERATION COUNCIL

(SBU) Post delivered reftel points on June 1 to Aleksandar
Stipetic, Head of the MFA Office for Albania, Macedonia,
Kosovo, Greece, Turkey, and Romania; and to Neven Mikec, the
Foriegn Minister's Chief of Staff. Both noted that Croatia
currently planned to be represented at the RCC meeting and
SEECP Summit by FM Jandrokovic. Mikec thanked us for
providing an update on our plans and the context for the
meeting. He agreed that we needed to push to ensure full
regional participation in such sessions. Mikec was not
certain what the FM would decide to do, but said he would
discuss the issue with the Minister immediately.
