1. (U) In response to Ref A regarding pledges and
contributions made to the Special Court for Sierra Leone (the
Court) since its inception, the Mission refers to Refs B and
C, which set forth amounts paid by country and by year. The
Court's Liaison Office in New York has advised the Mission
that contributions listed in the spreadsheet attached to Ref
C reflect previously made pledges. According to the Court's
Liaison Office, only Lesotho, which pledged 30,000 USD for
the Court's 4th year of operation, did not follow up with a
contribution.
2. (U) The United States has not engaged in a practice of
submitting signed pledge documents to the Court.
