On December 16, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted
Resolution 1900 on the extension of terms of judges of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia
(ICTY) and Resolution 1901 on the extension of terms of
judges of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda
(ICTR). As instructed in reftel, the United States voted for
both resolutions.
