1. (SBU) In May 2008, Minister of Internal Affairs Bohodir
Matlyubov appointed Colonel Hudayberdi Faizievich Pardaev as Chief
of Samarkand City's Department of Internal Affairs. Pardaev, an
ethnic Uzbek, was born in 1962. In 1984, after graduation from the
Samarkand State University, he began his career as an Investigator
in the Investigations Unit of the Siab District's Section of
Internal Affairs in Samarkand Province.
2. (SBU) From 1990 until 2001, he served in succession as
Investigator, Deputy Section Chief, and Chief of the Investigations
Unit of the Investigations Section in Samarkand City's Department
of Internal Affairs; then as Chief of the Information Center and
Deputy Chief of the Investigations Department in Samarkand
Province's Department of Internal Affairs. From 2001 until 2009,
he served as Deputy Chief of the Department for Criminal
Investigations and Counterterrorism of the Ministry of Internal
Affairs.
