1. (SBU) In January 2009, Lieutenant-Colonel Abdulkhamid Habirovich
Hakimov was appointed as Chief of the Information Center of the
Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2. (SBU) Abdulkhamid Habirovich Hakimov, an ethnic Uzbek, was born
in 1967. In 1993, after graduation from Uzbekistan's MInistry of
Internal Affairs Academy, he began his work as an engineer in the
Registration Center of the Information Center in the Main
Department of Internal Affairs in Tashkent City. From 1996 until
2009, he served first as Chief of the Service Branch of the
Information Center "Tashkent," then as Deputy Chief of the
Information Center of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal
Affairs and as Chief of the Statistics Section in this center. In
January 2009, he was appointed Chief of the Information Center of
the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
