(U) On April 29, Adil Hakimjan, a Uighur and former
Guantanamo detainee, received permanent Swedish residency.
He had been resettled to Albania in 2006, but claimed asylum
in Sweden in 2007 to be with his sister. The Swedish
Migration Court previously granted residency on February 18,
2009, but the Migration Board appealed the judgment (reftel).
His case then went to the Migration Court of Appeal, which
rejected the Board's appeal and reinstated Hakimjan's
residency on April 29.
