1. (SBU) Peter Gutherie, Attorney-Adviser, and Clifton
Johnson, Assistant Legal
Adviser for Law Enforcement and Intelligence, request mission
clearance to participate in
sessions of the Ad Hoc Committee established by General
Assembly resolution 51/210 of 17
December 1996. The Ad Hoc Committee sessions are sheduled
from June 29 through July 2 and
will focus on negotiation of the Comprhensive Convention on
International Terrorism.
Gutherie and Johnson request mission access and assistance
with necessary UN badging.
Proposed POCs are USUN legal advisers Mary McLeod and James
Donovan.
