1. This is an Action Request. See paragraphs 2-4.
2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls
Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Posts' assistance in conducting
a post-shipment check on license 050094716 for the export of
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) - controlled
signal amplifiers to Saudi Arabia. Posts are requested to
complete this Blue Lantern inquiry within 45 days. Lack of
response to a Blue Lantern inquiry will affect pending and
future licenses involving parties to this license.
3. Reason for request: To substantiate bona fides of foreign
parties involved in this transaction and confirm order/
receipt with the end-user.
4. Action Pretoria: The Department requests that Post make
inquiries with Foreign Consignee RF Design to verify its role
in this transaction. Emphasize that the unauthorized
re-export or retransfer of United States Munitions List
(USML) items is strictly prohibited.
Action Riyadh: Post is requested to confirm that End User
King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has
received the USML items listed below in full and that they
are being used for the purpose stated on the license.

military students to receive and analyze radar emission, and
to optimize (tune) radar equipment for optimum performance in
laboratory setting.
