Econoff contacted the office of Enrique Ramirez, President of the
National Commission on Energy (CNE),of the Government of the
Dominican Republic (GoDR) regarding the Americas Energy and Climate
Ministerial. His assistant confirmed that they have received the
invitation to the Ministerial and Mr. Ramirez will provide a formal
response next week (11/16). Econoff reminded Ramriez' assistant
that Emboffs recently met with Ramirez and he should contact the
Embassy with any questions or ideas. Emboffs will continue to
engage the CNE on the Ministerial energy and climate issues in the
coming months.
