Heitmann said that tests confirm that the strains of the AH1N1 virus
found in Chile are identical to those circulating in other parts of
the world, which means the virus has not mutated. Heitmann said that
the urgent matter now is to determine if the virus is causing more
severe symptoms (La Nacion, government-owned, editorially
independent, circ, 4,200, 6/2).

5. The counternarcotics police at Santiago's international airport
arrested a 26 year-old Argentine woman in transit to Spain. The
woman was carrying two suitcases made from cocaine and plastic (El
