(C) On October 14, CDA delivered reftel points to Ambassador
Patrice Cure, Head of Multilateral Directorate - Political,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and
International Trade. Cure said that there was no stability
in Afghanistan and that things were not improving. He
further indicated that access to sophisticated weapons had
caused the whole area to be successively radicalized
religiously and what used to be individual tribes was now a
block of people moved to irrational behavior. CDA stressed
to Cure that the U.S. was trying to solicit opinions of other
countries and not just force its opinions on the world. Cure
then added that the U.S. should mend fences with Iran.
