Post delivered a diplomatic note to the Seychelles Ministry of
Foreign Affairs on May 13 and followed up with the U.S. Desk Officer
and Second Secretary, Mrs. Marie Angele Thomas, on May 18 and 20.
Thomas said the diplomatic note had been passed on to the Economic
Section of the Ministry, and added that H.E. Mr. Ronald Jumeau,
Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Seychelles to the UN,
would also have to be consulted on the matter. (COMMENT: Given
Seychelles' historical record of non-participation in international
fora, Post does not expect them to cast a vote. END COMMENT.)
