2. US Embassy Nassau received diplomatic note No. MFA/089 dated 13
March 2009, from the CGOB informing of their decision to present the
candidature of Dr. Davidson L. Hepburn for election to the post of
President of the 35th Conference of UNESCO in Paris in October 2009.

NOTE NO. MFA/089
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas
presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of
America, and has the honour to inform of the decision by the
Government of The Bahamas to present the candidature of Dr. Davidson
L. Hepburn for election to the post of President of the 35th
Conference of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO) in Paris in October 2009.
In the framework of excellent relations between The Bahamas and the
United States of America, the Government of The Bahamas has the
honour to request valuable support from the Government of the United
States of America for The Bahamas' candidature of Dr. Davidson L.
Hepburn. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the honour to provide
an Aide Memoire and a copy of the curriculum vitae of Dr. Davidson
Hepburn as an attestation to his suitability for the post.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas
avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the
United States of America, the assurances of its highest
consideration.
