1. As of June 25, Bolivia has 47 World Health Organization
confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu. The Bolivian Center for
Tropical Diseases (CENETROP) claims 127 confirmed cases. Most
are located in the lowlands eastern region of Santa Cruz de
la Sierra. Press reports indicated that many cases are
Chileans and Argentines crossing the borders. The Bolivian
government remains on alert in trying to control the spread
of the virus, per ref A. There still are no known fatalities
linked to the H1N1 flu in Bolivia, though one male remains in
intensive care in Santa Cruz.
2. Post continues to monitor the situation and will report as
