Per the Guatemalan MFA, the composition of Guatemala's
delegation to the UN General Assembly in September will be as
follows.
A. Attendance of the Head of State: President Alvaro COLOM
Caballeros will attend. Arrival and departure dates are not
yet known, however, President Colom is scheduled to address
the Assembly on Wednesday, September 24. There was no
mention of the President's wife attending. Interpretation
from Spanish would be required.
B. Attendance of the Head of Government: President Alvaro
COLOM Caballeros is also the Head of Government.
C. Attendance of the Foreign Minister: FonMin Roger Haroldo
RODAS Melgar is scheduled to attend the General Assembly.
Arrival and departure dates are not yet known. There was no
mention of the Minister's wife attending. Interpretation
from Spanish would be required.
D. Attendance of other VIP's: None known so far.
E. Attendance of the Foreign Ministry official responsible
for IO affairs: TBD.
