In response to reftel, EconOff contacted Romania's representative to
the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO),
Marius-Ioan Piso, President of the Romanian Space Agency. Piso
stated that he will not participate in the Rome Assembly, but that
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) would send a delegate from the
Romanian Embassy in Rome. The MFA confirmed that Romania would send
an observer, adding that Romania has not taken a position on the
arbitration issue. EconOff delivered reftel talking points, which
the MFA promised to share with the Romanian delegate.
