1. (C) Per reftel A request and as a supplement to response reftel
B, Embassy Athens offers the following additional information on
Greece-Cuba relations in the areas of trade and investment.

2. (C) According to the Cuba Desk at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (MFA),the bilateral legal framework between Greece and
Cuba consists of the following agreements: (a) Agreement on the
Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments (1997); and (b)
Agreement on Economic and Technological Cooperation (1998). In
addition, Post's records and public information found on the MFA's
website indicate that the two countries have also signed the
following agreements: (a) Educational Agreement (1983); (b)
Agreement on the Mutual Encouragement and Protection of Investments
(1996); and (c) Air Cooperation Agreement (1998).

3. (C) With respect to investments that Greek businesses have made
in Cuba, the MFA has informed Post that they do not track this
information. The MFA does not think that Greek businesses have
made any large-scale investments, but they cannot confirm this with
certainty as Greek businesses are not required to file information
with the GoG regarding their foreign investments.
