1. (S) On May 21, EconOff delivered reftel points to Ioannis
Sidiropoulos, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and
Finance; Ioannis Papadakis, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece
(BG); and Panagiotis Kyriakopoulos, Director of Monetary Policy of
Banks of the Bank of Greece. EconOff followed up on June 1;
however, GoG interlocutors indicated they have no information on
the listed entities at this time. PolOff shared the same
information on June 2 with MFA D1 Directorate (International
Organizations and UN Affairs) Counselor Dimitrios Papandreou. Post
will continue to engage with the GoG on these issues and will
report any significant developments.
