TURKMENTEL-2009 INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE
1. On May 28, Turkmenistan Minister of Communications
Jumaguliyev and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry Taganov announced to diplomatic missions in
Ashgabat via diplomatic note that the third annual
Turkmentel-2009 International Exhibition/Turkmenistan and
World Telecommunication Conference will take place at the
Sergi Koshgi Exhibition Center in Ashgabat on September
17-19, 2009.
2. The invitation states that Turkmentel-2009 provides
an opportunity for companies and firms to demonstrate
their latest technologies, know-how and new services to
the Ministry of Communication and other state entities
with interests in this sector. In 2008, over 100 firms
and companies from more than 25 countries took part in
Turkmentel-2008.
3. The invitation notes President Berdimuhamedov's
policy of "open doors" and "accessible high quality
telecommunication services," and that the Ministry of
Communication is interested in cooperation in information
communication, broadcasting, postal services and other
areas.
