1. (C) SUMMARY: In response to Post's diplomatic note on
March 10, the GOC has formally denied any military
cooperation with Iran.
2. (C) On March 26, the Comoran Ministry of External
Relations and Cooperation faxed a dipnote stating only that
"...the government of the Union of Comoros is acting in full
compliance with all Resolutions of the United Nations, and in
particular UN Security Council Resolution 1747, and,
consequently, does not deal with Iran in matters of arms."
The GOC did not provide any further information on the nature
of its relationship with Iran.
