1. (SBU) Post delivered reftel (A) points last week to
Andrej Dogan from the Department of the United Nations at the
Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European
Integration. On June 11, Dogan informed Post that the GOC
would not be supporting International Organization for
Migration Director General nominee Ambassador Bill Swing
during the 18 June vote. Dogan indicated the GOC will
instead likely support Canadian Sergio Marchi for the
position, citing the need to balance various voting interests
rather than any concern regarding Amb. Swing's credentials.
