Darius Staniulis, head of the MFA's Human Rights and NGOs
division, provided us on July 22 the following information
about Lithuania's participation at this year's UNGA.
Responses are keyed to reftel.
A. Attendance of the Head of State:
-- President Valdas ADAMKUS will attend, unless unforeseen
events change his plans.
-- Arrival and departure dates are not yet determined. He
will be present for the General Debate.
-- His spouse, Mrs. Alma ADAMKIENE, will attend.
-- Interpretation will not be needed.
B. Attendance of the Head of Government.
-- Prime Minister Gediminas KIRKILAS will likely attend,
though he has no definite plans yet.
-- Arrival and departure dates are not yet determined. If he

husband attends.
