1. On the margins of the opening of the renowned Salzburg cultural
festival, Chancellor Gusenbauer will gather 8 South East European
Prime Ministers in Salzburg on July 27 for a conference on stability
in the region. Represented at this annual conference will be
Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro,
Romania and Moldova. Hido Biscevic, the secretary-general of the
Regional Cooperation Council, will also attend the conference.
2. Themes will revolve around regional problems such as
transportation, climate change, energy policy and investment in
South East Europe. Austria supports EU accession of the Western
Balkan countries. Chancellor Gusenbauer reiterated that commitment
to Montenegrin Prime Minister Djukanovic at a visit in Podgorica
