SUBJECT: KUDOS TO EMBASSY DOHA FOLLOWING SE CUMBER'S VISIT



1. Special Envoy (SE) to the Organization of the Islamic
Conference (OIC) Sada Cumber wishes to express his sincere
appreciation for the efforts and support of the American
Direct Hire and Locally Employed Staff at Embassy Doha during
his April 28-29 visit to Qatar.


2. SE Cumber is appreciative of all of the efforts of the
Embassy staff in facilitating his meeting with Minister of
State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Al-Mahmoud. He would also
like to thank the staff for arranging the press roundtable,
the visit to a local Pakistani school, and briefings on the
work of the Qatar Foundation, Georgetown University's Center
for International and Regional Studies,and the Fanar Islamic
Center. In this regard, SE Cumber would like to acknowledge
in particular Steve Rice for his great support and continued
guidance. Thanks to the entire Embassy community, it was a
productive visit.
