1. (U) This is an action message. USUN is authorized to
draw from the points in para 2 below during consultations by
the ICTY/ICTR Working Group on residual issues, currently
scheduled for May 13.
2. (U) Begin points:
-- We would like to thank the Belgian mission for the work in
chairing the Working Group and encouraging UNSC Member States
to come to quick decisions in order to meet the timelines
laid out in the Belgian presentation.
-- We are pleased that the Working Group has reached
consensus on two core objectives -- no impunity for fugitives
and continued protection of witnesses.
