PolOff delivered reftel points regarding the upcoming
Universal Postal Union Congress to Svetlana Geleva, MFA's
Director for Multilateral Affairs. Geleva confirmed that
Macedonia will support the U.S. candidates for seats on the
UPU Council of Administration (CA) and Postal Operations
Council (POC). Geleva also concurred with the U.S. position
regarding the proposed changes to the UPU mission statement,
and said she would discuss the issue with Macedonia's
delegation to the Congress. Geleva expects the Macedonian
delegation to participate in only a portion of the four-week
UPU Congress.
